Multicultural Heroes

This web site, launched originally in 2002, gives students and teachers quick access to hundreds of brief biographies with an emphasis on culturally relevant Latino/Hispanic American, African American, Asian American and Native American heroes in the fields of history, literature, math or science.

These heroes can be most easily integrated into lessons in the content areas identified below the links. These content area suggestions are intended to help teachers infuse these heroic individuals directly into the curriculum so all students can learn about people who reflect the diversity of America.
